An oiled finish has been applied. vv v vDecorative piece, the top has been burnt, ,and then spiral tool was used to give it texture. v
v vThis is a monkey puzzle vase. It was extremely tiring hollowing it out, as the knots were hard, and the tools needed sharpening regularly v v vThis as a commission, for a 12 inch acorn finial made from green oak. v v vv v vA malee burr, from Australia, gives a good effect and a good finish. Sharp tools are always needed when turning burrs. |
