The Poldark Association of Woodturners, is a group of Cornish Woodturners, situated deep in West Cornwall on the site of a historic 18th Century Tin Mine formally called Wheal Roots, near Helston at the head of the Lizard Peninsula. The Woodturning Club welcomes new members both experienced and new to woodturning, giving opportunities for practical demonstrations and the sharing and trying out of ideas, tips and wrinkles. The club has it's own lathes within the clubhouse ready for members to use. Poldark Woodturners share the site with other crafts as well as the mine which you can descend into to get a flavour of the underground workings.
